Design Terms + Studio Policies
By engaging Buza Rosa and submitting a deposit, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms.
STUDIO HOURS + COMMUNICATION
Buza Rosa operates Monday through Friday during standard business hours (9AM-6PM AST). Weekends and holidays are reserved for rest and creative recharge because great work requires both.
All project communication takes place via email to keep details documented and accessible. Calls may be scheduled when needed. For quick check-ins, text is available on a limited basis.
PAYMENT SCHEDULE
All invoices are processed via PayPal.
Standard Projects
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to hold your project date.
50% of the remaining balance is due at the start of the design phase.
The final 50% is due before final file delivery (branding) or website launch.
Rush & À La Carte Projects
Immediate Start: 50% is due upfront, with the remaining 50% due before launch.
Site Updates: Full payment is required before any work begins.
Invoices more than 7 days past due will incur a $50 weekly late fee until settled. Final files, assets, and tutorials will not be delivered until all balances are paid in full.
REFUND POLICY
Due to the custom and creative nature of this work, refunds are not issued once a project is underway.
If a project is canceled before work begins, refund requests must be submitted within 7 days of payment. After this window, all payments are non-refundable.
If work has already begun, the client is responsible for all completed work, billed at $175/hour. At our discretion, a design credit valid for one year may be offered in lieu of a refund. Any applicable refunds will be processed within 30 days via PayPal.
REVISION POLICY
Each design stage (e.g., logo concept, webpage layout) includes three rounds of revisions. Additional revision rounds beyond this are billed at $65 per round.
POST-LAUNCH EDITS
Any edits requested after launch are quoted on a case-by-case basis. Hourly rates start at $195/hour with a 30-minute minimum.
TURNAROUND TIME
Project timelines vary based on scope, complexity, revision rounds, and client responsiveness. Most projects are completed within 4–8 weeks. An estimated timeline will be provided at the time of booking.
THIRD-PARTY FEES
Clients are responsible for any fees associated with third-party platforms and tools, including:
Squarespace Hosting: Typically $23–$36/month
Domain Registration: Typically $10–$20/year
Any additional integrations or plugins required for your project
These costs are separate from studio fees and are the client's sole responsibility.
PAUSE POLICY
If a client becomes unresponsive, the project will be placed on hold. It is the client's responsibility to maintain timely communication and provide necessary materials. Buza Rosa will not send repeated follow-up reminders to keep a project moving.
Changes made to your template during a pause period may incur additional fees.
Projects paused for 45 or more days will require a $150 restart fee.
Projects inactive for one year or more will be considered abandoned, and all payments will be forfeited.
CLIENT RESPONSIBILITY
Clients are responsible for reviewing all website content, contact details, and form functionality before and after launch. Buza Rosa is not liable for errors that go unreported post-launch. Corrections requested after launch are billed at standard post-launch rates.
Clients are also responsible for providing all written copy and imagery for their project. Please ensure all content is finalized before the project start date to keep things on track.
ERROR CORRECTIONS
If an error is attributable to Buza Rosa, corrections will be made at no additional cost if reported within 14 days of launch. After this period, corrections are considered post-launch edits and billed accordingly. Errors do not entitle the client to additional compensation beyond the correction itself.
PERMISSIONS & LICENSING
Clients are responsible for obtaining proper licenses and permissions for all text, images, and design assets they provide. Buza Rosa is not liable for copyright infringement related to client-supplied materials.
Font Licensing: Fonts used in branding or web design may require a commercial license for ongoing use. Clients are responsible for purchasing their own font licenses as needed. Buza Rosa will provide links to the appropriate files but does not distribute or include licensed fonts in project deliverables.
CONFIDENTIALITY
All project materials and communications between Buza Rosa and the client are confidential and may not be shared without written consent. When account access is required during a project, all credentials are handled securely and never shared with third parties.
PRINTED MATERIALS
Buza Rosa designs for print but is not responsible for print quality or output. Refunds are not offered for printed materials.
DESIGN CREDIT & OWNERSHIP
Clients receive full ownership of their logo and branding deliverables upon final payment.
For websites, a designer credit linking to Buza Rosa must remain visible unless a written exemption is agreed upon prior to launch.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Buza Rosa is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages; including lost revenue, lost opportunities, or reputational harm arising from the use of our services. Clients are responsible for verifying all content before and after launch.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION
In the event of a dispute, both parties agree to seek resolution through mediation before pursuing legal action. Any legal claims must be filed in the jurisdiction where Buza Rosa is registered.
